Dental Restorations & Esthetic Dentistry
At Hi5 Dental, we understand that sometimes teeth need a little extra TLC. Whether it's fixing a cavity or enhancing the appearance of your child's smile, we offer a variety of restorative and cosmetic treatments to ensure their teeth are both healthy and beautiful.
Treating Decay
It's important to teach your child good oral hygiene habits early on, as decay can begin even before their teeth are visible. Babies are born with 20 primary teeth already present in their jaws. These primary teeth start coming in around 6 months of age and play a crucial role in creating a healthy foundation for their permanent teeth.

If your child does develop cavities, there's no need to worry! Our experienced team will guide you through the available treatment options and help you choose the best one for your child's needs.
When your child has a cavity, we'll start by carefully examining the affected tooth and taking X-rays to assess the extent of the decay. We'll then discuss the best treatment options with you, taking into consideration your child's age, the severity of the decay, and any other relevant factors.

White (composite) fillings
These tooth-colored fillings are a safe and effective way to restore teeth affected by decay.
White (zirconia) crowns
For more extensive decay, these durable and natural-looking crowns provide strength and protection.
Silver (stainless steel) crowns
These crowns are another option for restoring primary teeth, offering durability and affordability.
Baby root canals (pulpotomy)
In cases where decay has reached the nerve of the tooth, a pulpotomy can help save the tooth and prevent further damage.
Extractions
If a tooth is severely damaged and cannot be saved, we may recommend extraction.
Space maintainers
If a primary tooth is lost prematurely, a space maintainer can help preserve the space for the permanent tooth to erupt properly.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure that can improve the appearance of chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth. It involves applying a tooth-colored resin material to the tooth and shaping it to create a natural-looking result.
-
Dental bonding is a quick and painless procedure. We'll first select a shade of resin that matches your child's natural tooth color. Then, we'll apply the resin to the tooth and carefully sculpt it to achieve the desired shape and appearance. Finally, we'll harden the resin with a special light. Dental bonding can instantly enhance your child's smile, giving them renewed confidence.
