First Visit
We understand that your kid's first dental visit can be a big milestone, and we want to make it a positive and enjoyable experience. Our goal is to gently introduce your child to the dental environment, build trust, and establish a foundation for a lifetime of good oral health habits.

During the first visit, our team will:
Review your child's health history to understand any specific needs or concerns.
Gently examine their teeth and gums to check for any signs of decay or developmental issues.
Discuss proper brushing and flossing techniques, demonstrating the best methods for keeping those little teeth clean.
Count their teeth to ensure they are erupting as expected.
Clean their teeth to remove any plaque or debris, giving them a sparkling smile.
Take any necessary X-rays to get a complete picture of their oral health.
Apply fluoride varnish to strengthen their enamel and protect against cavities.
We encourage parents and caregivers to use positive stories about visiting the dentist, songs, and descriptive words to describe your child's upcoming visit. Try to avoid using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as "needle", "shot", "drill", or "hurt."
We encourage you to stay with your child during the initial examination. During future visits, you can let your child join us on their own, depending on their age and comfort level.

We encourage all children who are new to our practice, whether other family members are already patients or not, to come visit us for an introduction to "Mr. Whistle", "Mrs. Squirty", and "Mr. Sunshine" and a fun visit filled with Magic, Stories, Prizes and Stickers. All at absolutely no charge!
